Role Summary
We are seeking a senior legal professional to lead our Legal Affairs function with a strong focus on intellectual property, cybercrime, and digital legal risk management. This role will be central to protecting the firm's and clients' digital reputation, safeguarding against legal risks, and managing regulatory and enforcement matters.
The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in handling IPR disputes, digital law, and cybercrime matters, while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Intellectual Property & Content Protection
Lead legal strategy on IPR disputes, trademark violations, copyright, and digital content infringements.
Advise on brand protection in digital and social media environments.
Cybercrime & Digital Risk Management
Anticipate, identify, and resolve cybercrime issues, including online impersonation, fraud, and defamation.
Manage escalations in collaboration with internal teams, clients, and external authorities.
Regulatory & Legal Advisory
Liaise with law enforcement agencies, regulators, and legal bodies to address disputes or escalations.
- Ensure compliance with IT Act, cyber laws, data protection norms, and evolving digital regulations.
Draft and review notices, responses, and legal correspondence for digital and cyber matters.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with digital, SEO, reputation, and communication teams to proactively identify risks.
- Train internal stakeholders on IPR, digital compliance, and cyber safety.
Guide teams during digital reputation crises, ensuring quick and legally sound interventions.
Strategic Leadership
Build frameworks for risk assessment, monitoring, and early-warning systems for digital legal issues.
- Represent Adfactors PR in forums, legal associations, and knowledge platforms as a thought leader in digital law.
Requirements
- Education: LLB/LLM with specialization or significant exposure to corporate law, cyber law, or IPR.
- Experience: 4–8 years of experience in corporate legal, law firms, cyber law practices, or enforcement agencies, with a demonstrable track record in IPR and digital legal matters.
- Strong knowledge of IT & cybercrime laws, IPR frameworks, content regulations, and data protection laws.
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders, regulators, enforcement bodies, and CXO-level clients.
- Experience in working cross-functionally with digital/SEO/communications teams.
- Strong communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.
