Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Buyer with a strong background in women's ethnic wear who can handle end-to-end buying operations — from supplier sourcing to product selection and seasonal planning. The ideal candidate should have a keen fashion sense, strong vendor network, and proven experience in buying for retail or e-commerce ethnic brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and source new vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers for women's ethnic

wear.

  • Plan and execute seasonal buying strategy aligned with brand aesthetics and sales

targets.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor collections, and consumer preferences to ensure

relevant product selection.

  • Conduct fabric and trim assessments, price negotiations, and finalize costings with

suppliers.

  • Coordinate with design, merchandising, and production teams for product development and range finalization.

  • Monitor sales performance and stock movement to plan effective replenishment and

markdowns.

  • Conduct market and trade visits for product sourcing and inspiration.

  • Ensure timely deliveries and maintain quality standards as per brand requirements.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of women's ethnic wear (kurta, suit sets, dupattas, festive wear).

  • Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.

  • Knowledge of fabrics, embroideries, trims, and garment construction.

  • Commercial acumen and trend awareness.

  • Strong analytical, planning, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with design, merchandising, and retail teams.
