We are seeking a skilled Tekla Checker & Modeler with hands-on experience in structural steel detailing and checking, following AISC standards. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, technically strong, and capable of producing and reviewing high-quality Tekla Structures models and shop drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate 3D models of structural steel using Tekla Structures software.
  • Prepare and edit GA drawings, shop drawings, and erection drawings per project requirements.
  • Check and verify drawings and models created by other detailers for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with AISC and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and fabricators to resolve design and detailing issues.
  • Apply AISC standards, connection design principles, and fabrication practices to ensure constructible detailing.
  • Manage and maintain model revisions, drawing logs, and project documentation.
  • Participate in QA/QC processes, ensuring high-quality deliverables within deadlines.
  • Provide feedback and mentorship to junior modelers/detailers when necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil / Mechanical / Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in steel detailing and checking using Tekla Structures or SDS2 Tools.
  • Strong understanding of AISC detailing standards and practices.
  • Familiarity with fabrication and erection processes.
  • Ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings accurately.
  • Proficiency in Tekla Structures, and SDS2 working knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure steel projects.
  • Knowledge of AISC, OSHA, IS, Codes.
