Freelance Medical Consultant / Doctor – Chennai

Location: Chennai (On-site or hybrid as required)

Engagement Type: Freelance / Consultant (Project-based or 6-month contract)

Role Objective:

To review, approve, and sign off on medical kits used in company operations, ensuring compliance with medical standards and legal requirements. The selected candidate will act as the responsible authority for approvals and will provide guidance on medical compliance and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Review the contents and specifications of all medical kits before deployment.

Provide official approval and signature on medical kits.

Ensure compliance with medical, ethical, and regulatory standards.

Offer guidance and consultation to internal teams regarding medical components and emergency use.

Assume responsibility as the in-charge authority in case of any legal or compliance issues.

Maintain proper documentation of approvals and any related communications.

Qualifications:

MBBS or higher medical degree from a recognized institution.

Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or respective State Medical Council.

Minimum 3 years of clinical or medical administration experience.

Prior experience in corporate health, occupational safety, or compliance projects is preferred.

Skills & Attributes:

Strong knowledge of medical compliance and legal requirements.

Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.

Ability to provide clear guidance and take accountability for approvals.

Good communication skills for coordination with internal teams.

Compensation & Engagement:

Payment on a per project / per approval basis or monthly retainer (to be negotiated).

Flexible working hours with on-site visits as required.
