Job Summary:

The Senior Accounts Executive/Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing financial and accounting functions within the organization. This role involves preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing financial transactions, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting:

  2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

  3. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.
  4. Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
  5. General Ledger Management:
  6. Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring proper reconciliation of accounts.
  7. Review journal entries, accounting records, and ensure proper categorization of expenses and revenues.
  8. Accounts Payable & Receivable:
  9. Supervise the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
  10. Ensure proper follow-up with clients and vendors for outstanding balances.
  11. Review and approve payment schedules and client billing processes.
  12. Budgeting & Forecasting:
  13. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  14. Track budget performance and provide regular variance analysis.
  15. Advise management on cost control measures and recommend financial improvements.
  16. Taxation & Compliance:
  17. Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, including VAT, GST, income tax, and others.
  18. Keep updated with changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
  19. Manage tax audits and liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process.
  20. Cash Flow Management:
  21. Monitor cash flow to ensure the company has sufficient liquidity to meet operational requirements.
  22. Prepare cash flow forecasts and ensure proper financial planning.
  23. Internal Controls & Audit:
  24. Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
  25. Coordinate with external auditors during the audit process and provide necessary information and documentation.
  26. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal financial policies.
  27. Team Supervision & Mentoring:
  28. Supervise and guide junior accountants or accounting staff, providing training and mentoring as needed.
  29. Review and approve their work to ensure accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  30. Conduct performance reviews and assist in career development planning for team members.
  31. Financial Analysis:
  32. Conduct financial analysis and provide reports to management on business performance, profitability, and cost-saving opportunities.
  33. Assist in strategic planning and provide insights for future financial goals.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or MBA in Finance or a related field.

  • [Professional certifications such as CA, CMA, CPA, or ACCA are a plus].

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in accounting & finance in a senior or managerial role.

  • Proven experience in financial reporting, accounts management, and budgeting.

  • Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally) and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
