About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Legal and Compliance Associate with a strong

foundation in corporate law and Company Secretary (CS) qualification. The ideal candidate will

work closely with our team to manage day-to-day legal, secretarial, and compliance functions,

supporting our business goals while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Legal and Compliance Management

  2. Manage day-to-day legal, regulatory, and labour law compliance, ensuring the

company adheres to local and international laws and regulations.

  • Conduct thorough reviews of legal agreements and contracts to identify and

mitigate potential risks.

  • Handle documentation associated with secretarial and audit requirements, including

organizing files, maintaining records, and preparing compliance reports.

  1. Corporate Secretarial Management

  2. Assist in preparation of board and shareholder meeting notices, agendas, and

minutes.

  • Draft board resolutions and maintain statutory registers as per the Companies Act,

2013.

  • Support in filing forms, returns, and documents with the Registrar of Companies

(ROC) and Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).

  • Coordinate annual filings, directors disclosures, and compliance calendars to ensure

statutory deadlines are met.

  1. Data and Document Management

  2. Compile and organize data for audits, secretarial compliance, and regulatory

reporting.

  • Develop and maintain a centralized repository for legal and compliance

documentation to ensure efficient data retrieval and record-keeping.

  • Establish and regularly update legal and compliance trackers to ensure ongoing

transparency and timely action on outstanding compliance matters.

  1. Documentation Preparation and Formatting

  2. Proofread, prepare, and format legal documents, ensuring that execution versions

are accurate, compliant, and professionally presented.

  • Manage legal agreements from draft to final execution, ensuring compliance with

internal standards and applicable laws.

  • Leverage software tools to streamline and automate document preparation, review,

and approval processes, minimizing manual tasks and improving efficiency.

  1. Process Improvement

  2. Work on streamlining and automating legal and compliance processes, enhancing

productivity and minimizing errors.

  • Identify areas for improvement within existing legal and compliance functions and

recommend solutions to streamline workflows.

  1. Communication and Coordination

  2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HR, Finance, and Business

Operations, to address compliance and regulatory concerns.

  • Maintain effective communication channels with external stakeholders, including

legal advisors, regulatory authorities, and auditors, as needed.

Required Qualifications


• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Law (BA.LL.B.) and/or Company Secretary (CS)

qualification or equivalent.


• Experience: 1-2 years of experience corporate law, compliance, or secretarial practice.


• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word with tracked changes) and G-

Suite (Gmail and Google Drive). Familiarity with legal and compliance software is a plus.


• Soft Skills: Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) with a keen eye for

detail. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work under pressure and

meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
