About the Role :We are looking for a Risk Investigator to play a key role in safeguarding our organization against fraudulent activities across all payment channels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring daily alerts, conducting thorough investigations, making account-level decisions, and supporting risk case handling. Candidates with prior experience in fraud risk management, particularly within payments, and a strong understanding of fraud prevention and controls will be preferred.

Role & Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and analyze transactions to detect and prevent fraud across all payment channels
  • Investigate fraud alerts, assess risk factors, and take necessary actions to mitigate potential threats
  • Conduct detailed research and compile evidence to support fraud investigations
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports with findings and recommendations to management
  • Proactively report the fraud attack vectors in customer-complaints to relevant stakeholders and assess the adequacy of controls to manage such risks, including recommending enhanced controls.
  • Proactively monitor anomalies, assess control effectiveness, and suggest improvements
  • Ensuring information flows and deliverables are met to mitigate fraud by facilitating weekly calls with stakeholders.

Preferred Candidate Profile :

  • Experience : 2-4 years in fraud risk operations or fraud investigations within Financial Services/Ecommerce.
  • Product Knowledge : Familiarity with fraud risks in payment aggregators, PPI, UPI, gift cards, and bill payments.
  • Fraud Expertise : Understanding of fraud schemes, fraud prevention techniques, and fraud management tools.
  • Investigation Skills : Strong ability to assess risk, analyze data, and conduct in-depth fraud investigations.
  • Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Stakeholder Coordination : Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple teams.
  • Technical Skills : Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus )
