Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Vadodara for a Purchase Engineer. The Purchase Engineer (STEEL- PIPES, PLATES, ROUND BARS, STRUCTURE) will be responsible for managing procurement activities of the said items with respective grades, sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. Additional tasks include maintaining inventory levels, coordinating with the production and engineering teams, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards. The role requires a strong focus on cost-effectiveness, quality, and efficiency in the procurement process as well as development of new vendors.

Qualifications : 2+ years experience

  • Procurement Skills: Sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing procurement activities
  • Logistics and Inventory Management: Maintaining inventory levels and ensuring timely delivery of materials
  • Coordination and Collaboration: Working with production and engineering teams to align procurement with project requirements
  • Quality and Compliance: Ensuring procurement activities comply with company policies and standards, focusing on cost-effectiveness, quality, and efficiency
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of materials and components used in piping engineering and manufacturing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Relevant experience in a similar field, preferably in the manufacturing or engineering industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
