Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, verify, and maintain optical networks using Ciena equipment such as 6500, 3800, and 6200 platforms.
  • Perform capacity upgrades, migrations, decommissioning, retrofitting, calibration, and verification of DWDM systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data center deployments and PoPs (Points of Presence) installations.
  • Ensure seamless integration of new technologies into existing infrastructure through successful BERT testing and optimization processes.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to optical networking components and resolve them efficiently.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 4-9 years of experience in Optical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of DWDM technology and its applications in telecommunications industry.
  • Proficiency in performing capacity upgrades, migrations, decommissioning, retrofitting, calibration, and verification tasks on various types of optical network devices.
