Job Summary

The Tax Executive will be responsible for handling day-to-day direct & indirect tax transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a sound understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

a. DIRECT TAX

  1. Provide monthly fund requirements for TDS.
  2. Calculate and ensure timely payments of TDS under various sections on a monthly basis.
  3. File TDS returns on a quarterly basis before the due date.
  4. Reconcile TDS returns with financial records post-filing.
  5. Revise TDS returns when required.
  6. Maintain the company's tax database on a monthly basis.
  7. Provide audit support related to TDS matters.
  8. Manage tax-related accounting in the ERP system.
  9. Prepare data for Tax Audit, including Clause 34.
  10. Regular reconciliation of 26AS with company records.

b. INDIRECT TAX

  1. Provide monthly fund requirements for GST.
  2. Prepare workings for filing GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
  3. Perform monthly revenue reconciliation
  4. Conduct monthly input reconciliation with GSTR-2B
  5. Reconcile RCM and ECL post-filing of GST returns
  6. Post various GST-related entries in the ERP system
  7. Prepare data for GST Annual Returns (Forms 9 & 9C).

c. OTHER COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide statutory data for timely payments of various statutory dues.
  2. Reconcile PT, PF, ESI payments with liabilities on a monthly basis.
  3. Address any other tax and compliance-related matters of the company.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably with a CA Inter or equivalent qualification.
  2. Excellent knowledge of advanced Excel functions and tools.
  3. In-depth understanding of accounting and bookkeeping processes.
  4. Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  5. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  6. EAective problem-solving abilities and output-oriented approach.
