Key Responsibilities

  1. Test Design, Development & Framework Creation

  2. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.

  3. Build scalable, modular, and reusable test automation frameworks. Develop test coverage across web, mobile, and API platforms.
  4. Use programming languages such as TypeScript/JavaScript; C# knowledge is a plus.

  5. Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for streamlined deployments.

  6. Test Execution and Reporting

  7. Run automated test suites, analyze results, and troubleshoot issues.

  8. Manage defects and test cycles using JIRA or TestRail.

  9. Support quality gates with metrics, dashboards, and reports.

  10. Collaboration

  11. Work with developers, product managers, and QA teammates to define requirements and acceptance criteria.

  12. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).

  13. Review features with a testability-first perspective.

  14. Continuous Improvement

  15. Stay updated on tools and best practices in automation.

  16. Recommend and implement enhancements to improve test reliability and coverage.

  17. Mentor peers on automation tools and strategies.

  18. Documentation

  19. Maintain comprehensive documentation for test plans, cases, framework design, and execution processes.

  20. Ensure traceability between business requirements and automated test coverage.

Key Requirements

Experience

2 to 3+ years in software QA with a strong emphasis on automation.

Technical Skills

  • Expertise with Playwright using TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Experience building or enhancing custom automation frameworks.

Proficiency in:

  1. TypeScript/JavaScript (primary)
  2. Python C# (a plus)
  3. Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST-Assured)
  4. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
  5. Solid understanding of Git workflows
  6. Skilled in using JIRA or TestRail.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong quality focus.
  • Adaptable and proactive in Agile environments.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
