Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in radiology including interpretation of digital imaging techniques is a mandatory skill (Mandatory skill).
  • Working knowledge of CT scan operations, including preparation, execution, and basic troubleshooting of machines.
  • Ability to conduct and interpret ultrasound (USG) procedures with accuracy and clarity for clinical diagnosis.
  • Familiarity with MRI protocols, including patient preparation, scanning, and image interpretation is essential.
  • Understanding of radio-diagnosis principles to correlate clinical findings with imaging studies for optimal outcomes.
  • Strong communication abilities for effective conveyance of diagnostic results to referring physicians and patients.
  • Organizational skills to maintain reports, schedule appointments, and manage patient information securely and confidentially.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in imaging procedures and documentation for supporting patient care.
  • Adaptability in embracing new technologies and methodologies in medical imaging and radiology as healthcare evolves.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret radiological examinations using various imaging modalities such as X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
  • Provide timely and accurate diagnostic reports to assist in patient management and treatment decisions.
  • Coordinate with referring physicians to clarify clinical indications and optimize imaging protocols.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines for radiation protection and patient care at all times.
  • Monitor and help maintain imaging equipment for optimal operation and report any technical issues promptly.
  • Educate patients about procedures to ensure clarity and address any queries or concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Maintain meticulous patient records, imaging files, and confidential information in compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings, continued education, and quality assurance programs to enhance professional competence.
