Location: Mumbai

Working Days: 5 days

Experience Required: 2+ years

Primary Role:

  • Analyze financial information to forecast business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions.
  • Conduct comprehensive research on assigned industries, companies, and sectors to identify potential investment opportunities.
  • Interpret data on price, yield, stability, future investment-risk trends, economic influences, and other factors affecting investment programs.

  • Monitor fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments through the analysis of information obtained from financial publications and services, investment banking firms, government agencies, trade publications, company sources, and personal interviews.

  • Prepare reports and presentations that contain detailed findings and recommendations and present these to senior management.

  • Build and maintain financial models to assess the intrinsic value of companies. Perform comprehensive valuation analyses, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis (CCA), and precedent transaction analysis (PTA).

  • Work closely with the investment team to develop investment strategies and make decisions about investment opportunities.

  • Stay abreast of the latest academic research, industry trends, and emerging technologies in finance to enhance the research process continuously and develop innovative investment ideas.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. A master's degree and relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, MBA, or master's in finance) are advantageous.

  • Proven experience as an Equity Research Analyst or a similar role in the financial services industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of financial modeling and valuation techniques.

  • Proficient in using MS Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Strong understanding of financial markets and investment principles.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and research methodologies.

  • High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
