*Location:* Eye Hospital, Santacruz (W)

*Department:* Front Office / Patient Services

*Job Summary:*

The Receptionist cum Counsellor serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. This role involves managing front desk operations, coordinating patient appointments, handling queries, and counselling patients on eye procedures, treatments, and hospital services.

*Key Responsibilities:*

*Front Desk Operations:*

* Greet patients and visitors warmly and ensure efficient check-in/check-out processes.

* Manage appointments, scheduling, and patient flow in coordination with doctors and technicians.

* Handle incoming calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries courteously and professionally.

* Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the hospital management software.

*Patient Counselling:*

* Explain diagnostic procedures, treatment options, and surgical packages (e.g., cataract, LASIK, ICL, etc.) to patients in a clear and empathetic manner.

* Guide patients about pre- and post-procedure instructions and address their concerns.

* Support patients in understanding insurance or payment procedures where applicable.

* Assist in improving patient awareness about hospital services, technology, and eye health.

*Administrative Support:*

* Coordinate with clinical and billing teams for smooth patient experience.

* Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception and waiting area.

* Maintain confidentiality of patient data and follow hospital protocols.

* Handle cash transactions or billing support if required.

*Qualifications and Skills:*

* Education: HSC, Graduate (Preferably in Healthcare

* Experience: 1–3 years in a hospital or healthcare front office role (experience in an eye hospital preferred)

*Technical Skills:*

* Proficiency in MS Office and hospital management software

* Basic understanding of ophthalmic terms and procedures (preferred)

*Soft Skills:*

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Empathetic, patient-oriented approach

* Good organizational and multitasking abilities

* Fluent in English, Hindi

*Work Schedule:* Full-time; 6 days a week (rotational shifts if applicable)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹24, ₹26,000.00 per month
