What You Will Do
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide tier-1 production support.
  • Use runbooks to troubleshoot production availability or performance issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement and monitor cloud infrastructure services.
  • Provide cloud environment and engineering tooling support to internal teams.
  • Develop and deliver configuration and deployment automation to improve performance, availability, and manageability of cloud services.
  • Define and promote cloud-related optimizations and best practices to enhance reliability and performance.
What You Bring to PTC
  • Minimum of 3+ years of on-call experience working with production cloud environments.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as NewRelic, AppDynamics, or DataDog.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues under time constraints.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools like Jenkins, GitHub, WhiteSource, Checkmarx, SonarQube, etc.
  • Hands-on experience building systems based on cloud technology in AWS environments.
  • Proficiency in developing cloud automation using technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet, and/or Chef.
  • Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and HTTP protocols.
  • Experience working with High Availability and Fault-Tolerant architectures.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and adaptability.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience in frontend or backend application development.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Cloud offerings.
  • Experience working in IaaS and/or PaaS environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional.
  • AWS Certified Developer – Professional.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized database deployments.
  • Experience integrating databases with search engines like OpenSearch/Elasticsearch for analytics and observability.
  • Knowledge of data archival, data masking, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
