About the Role

We are seeking a highly creative and artistic Motion Graphic Designer to join our multidisciplinary team at the Param History Centre. The ideal candidate is a graduate of a renowned design or art college (such as NID, NIFT, JJ School of Art, Srishti, Chitrakala parishad etc.) and has a strong passion for art, design and innovation. You will play a key role in shaping the visual identity of our centre through compelling graphics that make history engaging and visually immersive.

Key Responsibilities

● Visual Storytelling & Design

Design engaging visual assets including exhibition graphics, brochures, signage, wall panels, wayfinding, and branding collateral.

Create layouts for both digital and print formats that convey historical narratives in a visually rich and accessible way.

Work closely with curators and content developers to ensure historical accuracy and visual clarity.

● Creative Concept Development

Develop unique design concepts aligned with the centre's theme, identity, and visitor experience goals.

Participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing fresh ideas and visual direction for upcoming exhibitions and campaigns.

● Digital Design Integration

Create graphics for multimedia presentations, touchscreen interfaces, social media, and websites.

Knowledge of UI/UX will be a Plus.

Collaborate with the motion graphics and interactive design team to ensure visual consistency across platforms.

● Trend Awareness & Innovation

Stay up to date with the latest design trends, tools, and techniques in visual communication and exhibit design.

Bring a contemporary edge to traditional storytelling through modern visual aesthetics.

●Team Collaboration

Work in close coordination with artists, animators, writers, and exhibit designers to bring history to life through design.

Accept feedback with a growth mindset and iterate designs based on creative direction.

Required Qualifications

● Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field from a reputed design/art institute (e.g., NID, NIFT, JJ School of Art, Srishti, Chitrakala parishad etc.).

● 2–5 years of experience as a Graphic Designer in a creative setting.

● Strong portfolio showcasing branding, editorial, print, and digital design.

● Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); knowledge of Figma or Sketch is a plus.

● Excellent aesthetic sense, typography skills, and attention to detail.

Desirable Skills

● Passion for design, art, history, heritage, and education through design.

● Familiarity with museum/exhibition graphics and environmental design.

● Basic knowledge of motion graphics or interactive media is a plus.

● Knowledge for generative AI, prompter to generate desirable images and videos using various AI tools will be plus.
