Job Description Summary

The Capital Markets Financial Analyst ("CMFA") will support transactions generated by Cushman & Wakefield's Capital Markets brokerage services with a concentration in multifamily valuation analyses. Analysts will primarily perform the more complex financial analysis activities of pricing, Excel valuation model creation, due diligence collection and review, and will be responsible for translating analysis findings into high-level summaries for our Capital Market brokers.

The ideal candidate will be based in Bangalore and available to work on-site in a local Cushman & Wakefield office. Team members may be expected to travel and work outside normal operating hours depending on the product type(s) they service and to meet project deadlines.

Essential Duties

• Help execute more complex Broker financial analysis/modeling requests, which may include serving as a project manager on high-value client opportunities and portfolio transactions
• Analyze and evaluate rent rolls and operating statements of properties being considered for financing or sale to determine feasibility and valuation
• Prepare pro forma statements, discounted cash flow analyses, and Excel-based financial models with consideration of market conditions (both current and historical)
• Conduct market research to analyze property and market conditions; synthesize findings in a clear, concise manner
• Communicate with senior teams to confirm request scope and review analysis findings; demonstrate ability to communicate findings in a clear, compelling manner, answer clarifying questions, and make timely, accurate revisions
• Identify and communicate any missing information or unclear requests to ensure accurate analyses
• Develop high-level analysis summaries by identifying transaction considerations (strengths/weaknesses), trends, outliers, and logical inconsistencies
• Track and develop working knowledge of real estate fundamentals and industry trends
• Support the CMFA Hub's maturity by supporting process improvement and automation initiatives through communicating improvement opportunities and suggesting potential solutions, and participating in related project task teams and user acceptance testing groups, as needed
• Performs other related duties as required or requested

Other Requirements & Administrative Duties

• Bachelor's Degree (Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, etc.) preferred
• Combination of education without a degree and corporate work experience may be considered
• 2-5 years of financial analysis and modeling experience; Capital Markets experience a plus
• Strong knowledge of real estate financial concepts
• Good experience with multifamily underwriting
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Microsoft Excel
• Passion for client delivery, with strong emphasis on producing high-quality work, meeting deadlines, and motivated to exceed expectations
• Exhibits critical thinking and strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrates strong time management and organization skills
