About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our Production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, optimizing, and troubleshooting CNC machines for precise machining of tubular components as per API 5CT and international standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

1. CNC Programming & Operation:

  • Develop and optimize CNC programs for turning centers and thread-cutting machines (API threads, premium connections if applicable).
  • Interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and API 5CT/5B thread profiles to create accurate machining programs.
  • Select proper tools, inserts, speeds/feeds, and machining sequences to improve cycle time and tool life.
  • Perform program prove-out on shop floor and ensure the first-piece approval before mass production.

2. Machine Setup & Process Improvement:

  • Support machine setup, including tool offset, work offsets, and fixture alignment.
  • Analyze machining issues and implement corrective actions to ensure dimensional accuracy and repeatability.
  • Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to reduce rejections and improve throughput.

3. Inspection & Quality Verification:

  • Verify critical dimensions using micrometers, thread gauges, API working gauges, and other precision instruments.
  • Ensure machined threads meet API 5B/5CT tolerances and surface finish requirements.
  • Maintain documentation for process controls, FAI reports, and program revisions.

4. Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain revision-controlled CNC programs and backup systems.
  • Follow company QMS procedures aligned with ISO 9001 and API Q1 requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, internal audits, and CAPA activities.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of CNC programming experience in forging or machining industries.
  • Strong knowledge of API thread machining standards (API 5CT / API 5B) preferred.
  • Experience with FANUC / Siemens / Haas controllers is an advantage.
