Software Tester

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute test cases (manual and automated) for web, mobile, and API-based applications.
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and define acceptance criteria.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing.
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or equivalent.
  • Create and manage test plans, test strategies, and test reports.
  • Log defects clearly in tools like JIRA or Bugzilla and work with development teams to resolve them.
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings, sprint planning, and retrospective discussions.
  • Continuously enhance test automation scripts and improve test coverage.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of
    Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
    and
    Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    manual testing
    including test case creation, execution, and defect logging.
  • Proficiency in
    test automation tools
    such as
    Selenium WebDriver
    ,
    TestNG
    ,
    Postman
    ,
    RestAssured
    , or similar.
  • Experience with
    API testing
    and tools like
    Postman
    ,
    SoapUI
    , or
    RestAssured
    .
  • Basic programming/scripting knowledge in
    Java
    ,
    Python
    , or similar language used for test automation.
  • Familiarity with version control tools like
    Git
    ,
    Bitbucket
    .
  • Experience working with test management tools like
    JIRA
    ,
    TestRail
    , or
    Zephyr
    .
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools like
    Jenkins
    ,
    GitLab CI/CD
    .
  • Knowledge of databases and ability to write basic SQL queries.
