Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to develop effective test plans and test cases.
  • Perform

    system testing

  • Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like
    JIRA
    ,
    Bugzilla
    , or equivalent.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to ensure quality in all phases of development.
  • Write clear and concise
    test cases
    ,
    test scripts
    , and
    test data
    .
  • Perform manual testing and, where applicable, execute
    automated tests
    using tools like
    Selenium
    ,
    TestNG
    , or
    Postman
    (for API testing).
  • Validate fixes and perform
    re-testing
    and
    regression testing
    as needed.
  • Provide detailed reports on testing outcomes and quality metrics.
  • Participate in
    Agile/Scrum
    ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables.
  • Continuously work on improving testing processes and tools.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in software testing.
  • Strong understanding of
    SDLC
    ,
    STLC
    , and
    defect life cycle
    .
  • Proficiency in
    manual testing
    ; exposure to
    automation testing
    is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g.,
    TestRail
    ,
    qTest
    ) and defect tracking systems (e.g.,
    JIRA
    ,
    Azure DevOps
    ).
  • Familiarity with
    database testing
    (SQL queries).
  • Experience in
    API testing
    using tools like
    Postman
    or
    SoapUI
    .
  • Knowledge of automation tools like
    Selenium
    ,
    Appium
    , or
    Katalon Studio
    is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for quality assurance.
