Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage the SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI / INtools) database throughout all project phases (FEED, EPC, commissioning, and handover).
  • Coordinate with instrumentation engineering and design teams to maintain consistent, accurate, and up-to-date SPI data.
  • Configure and maintain SPI project setups, including wiring, loop drawings, index, and datasheets.
  • Develop and manage SPI deliverables such as instrument index, IO list, wiring schedule, loop diagrams, and datasheets.
  • Handle data import/export activities between SPI and other engineering tools or formats (e.g., Excel, SmartPlant Foundation, SPPID, SPEL).
  • Ensure compliance with project-specific and client specifications and standards.
  • Provide user support, training, and troubleshooting assistance to SPI users across disciplines.
  • Perform regular audits, backups, and maintenance activities to ensure database integrity and security.
  • Work closely with IT for software updates, patches, and system integration activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Certification or formal training in SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI/INtools) is highly preferred.

Key Skills:

  • Strong expertise in SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI/INtools) administration, configuration, and customization.
  • Good understanding of instrumentation systems and deliverables used in Oil & Gas and EPC projects.
  • Hands-on experience with SPI tools including Loop Manager, Index Manager, and Specification Module.
  • Familiarity with interfacing SPI with other SmartPlant tools (SPPID, SPEL, SPF).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and database management practices.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
