At FAE Bikes, we are building the largest fleet of electric scooters for last-mile mobility in India. We have helped over 30 logistics and e-commerce companies transition from ICE vehicles to electric vehicles. With a presence in Bangalore and Hyderabad, we manage a fleet of 2000+ electric vehicles and employ 50+ trained technicians.

Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Software Development Engineer (SDE) to join our team full-time. As an SDE, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs, with a primary focus on FastAPI services, Postgres and AWS. You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Backend Development: Design and build robust, scalable, and high-performance RESTful APIs using the FastAPI ecosystem.
  • Architecture & System Design: Contribute to designing and implementing the overall architecture of our backend systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Utilize AWS services (such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.) to deploy and manage applications, ensuring cost-efficiency and scalability.
  • Code Quality & Optimization: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices for software development and ensuring excellent performance and low-latency APIs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the frontend team, DevOps, and other engineers to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Constantly evaluate and improve existing systems to optimize for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Testing & Debugging: Develop unit tests and integration tests for backend services, and debug and resolve issues related to production and staging environments.
