Job
Summary :

Leading Stress Team by supporting and coordinating stress engineers to perform the stress analysis of lines related to static and rotating equipment, air coolers, heaters, etc. by using Caesar II software. Locate, design, and model supports for various piping systems and perform the required calculations.

Responsibility :

  • Strong stress analysis concepts and ability to solve critical stress and nozzle load issues.
  • Strong piping support design concepts.
  • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision and work effectively as a team member on all assignments.
  • Familiar with ASME, API, and other industry-related standards.
  • Calculate and estimate piping loads on piping racks, structures, vessels & platforms.
  • Create the stress analysis isometrics including all required data for support definition.
  • Calculate and select variable and constant spring hangers.
  • Knowledge of pipe supports, including use of snubbers, rigid struts, spring sway braces.
  • Prepare Requisition for Inquiry/Purchase and Technical tabulation of piping support elements, such as shoes.
  • Prepare piping stress analysis reports considering project specifications.
  • Perform drawings by using 2D CAD software for non-standard supports.
  • Selection of items on equipment.
  • Knowledge of material and piping codes/standards.
  • Knowledge in pipe support detail drawings and layout drawings.
  • Design experience in piping, pipe support, and pipe layout.
  • Coordinate with Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation groups to ensure design suits all these departments.
  • Collaborate with Support/Piping leads for optimal design.
  • Have a cooperative working attitude.
  • Experience in Pipe Piping design as per ASME Standards.
  • Experience in vendor drawing reviews and provide comments if any.
  • Knowledge on plot plans, nozzle orientation, platform drawings, structure details, and GADs.

Eligibility


• Minimum of 15 years experience in the oil and gas industry.


• Minimum of 5 years proven capability in an engineering design company.


• Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred


• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
