Piping Stress Engineer

Piping stress engineers play a critical role in the design and analysis of piping systems. They use advanced analytical techniques to ensure that these systems can withstand various loads and stresses, thereby ensuring plant integrity.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform static and dynamic analysis (Time history and Response Spectrum analysis) of complex piping systems.
  • Prepare piping stress design guidelines based on project requirements.
  • Review and check stress reports, equipment GA's, FRS & Seismic Anchor Movements (SAM), stress model breakups & Critical Line List.
  • Calculate and select spring hanger supports, expansion joints, struts, snubbers.
  • Provide engineering advice and technical solutions in relation to plant integrity issues on operational assets.

Requirements:
  • Suitable degree in mechanical engineering (ME/BE, M.Tech/B.Tech or equivalent).
  • Experience in nuclear, power, oil & gas or other highly regulated industrial environments preferred.
  • Design experience in piping, pipe support, and pipe layout.
  • Proficiency in static, dynamic, and thermal stress analysis.
  • Exposure to piping fabrication, installation, testing.
