Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Counter Sales Person to join our bakery shop team. As the face of our business, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling sales transactions, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment. If you have a passion for baked goods and enjoy working with people, we'd love to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers, answer questions, and make recommendations on our products

  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently

  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the counter, display cases, and surrounding areas

  • Restock shelves and display cases as needed

  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setting up and tearing down displays

  • Develop knowledge of our products and ingredients to effectively answer customer questions

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment

  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner

  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to promote sales and brand awareness

Requirements:

  • Previous retail or customer service experience (bakery experience a plus)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease

  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system

  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays

Physical Demands:

  • Stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)

  • Move quickly and easily around the store to assist customers and restock shelves
