ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
  • Experience with defect management tools (Jira, Bugzilla, Trello, or similar).
  • Knowledge of different testing types: functional, regression, smoke, sanity, UAT.
  • Ability to write clear and concise test cases and defect reports.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in executing performance and load testing using JMeter and analyzing performance metrics.
  • Proficient in managing defect lifecycles using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Active participation in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
  • Hands-on experience with basic SQL queries for data validation (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, JOIN, WHERE, GROUP BY).
  • Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger (validating request/response payloads, headers, authentication, and status codes).
  • Contribute to process improvements for better QA efficiency and coverage.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The ability to perform work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day and function in an environment with constant interruptions is required. At times, Team Members are subject to sitting for prolonged periods. Infrequently, Team Member must be able to lift and move material weighing up to 20 lbs. Team Member may experience elevated levels of stress during periods of increased activity and with work entailing multiple deadlines.
