Role Overview

The DCBM Technical Manager will play a pivotal role in driving SHM and Digital Twin projects from concept to execution. This role combines technical expertise, project leadership, client engagement, and R&D ownership.

You will work across hardware, software, and operations—leading offshore campaigns, designing IoT sensor systems, enhancing digital twin dashboards, and embedding predictive analytics into asset monitoring solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sensor Technology & Field Integration

• Lead design and deployment of sensor arrays (vibration, strain, tilt, metocean)
• Oversee hardware reliability, environmental resilience (IP/ATEX), and interfacing protocols

2. Digital Twin & IoT Systems

• Collaborate with software developers to build and enhance digital twin dashboards and visualization platforms.
• Work with electrical engineers to design, assemble, and test IoT sensor and power systems for offshore deployments.
• Ensure system uptime, communications reliability, and cybersecurity of deployed assets.

3. Predictive Analytics & AI

• Lead sensor data post-processing (FFT, anomaly detection, time-series analytics).
• Collaborate with R&D partners to develop machine learning models for fatigue prediction, anomaly detection, and condition-based maintenance.
• Embed predictive analytics and AI-driven insights into Poseidon's Digital Twin solutions.

4. Project Leadership & Client Fronting

• Act as end-to-end project lead for SHM/Digital Twin campaigns.
• Front clients with progress updates, presentations, and stakeholder negotiations.
• Manage operational logistics and offshore readiness, ensuring smooth equipment preparation, deployment, and execution.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with internal engineers, software developers, operations, and suppliers.
• Support pre-sales proposals and client presentations with technical expertise.
• Lead R&D initiatives to improve hardware reliability and enhance digital twin capabilities.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Offshore Engineering or related disciplines.

Experience

• 5–8 years of engineering experience in IoT, offshore projects, predictive analytics, or asset monitoring.
• Proven ability to lead projects and front clients.
• Exposure to offshore or campaign-based project environments preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong foundation in electrical & instrumentation systems, IoT hardware, and power assemblies.
• Familiar with IT networking, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and industrial protocols and certifications (MQTT, SOC2, etc.).
• Proficient in signal processing / FFT analysis and sensor data analytics.
• Exposure to AI/ML applications in predictive analytics or asset monitoring.
• Understanding of 3D visualization and Digital Twin platforms.

Soft Skills

• Excellent project management and reporting skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation capabilities.
• Confident communicator able to lead teams and represent the company to clients.
