Associate Director Data Science

Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assoc. Director of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence to lead and support global initiatives in GenAI and AI for Finance&MA. Focus is on Generative AI. This role focuses on leading initiatives within Finance&MA collaborating with a range of stakeholders including ECN level. As a key leader in the organization, you will deliver automation of full processes and lead creation of holistic Gen(AI) applications. You also support business thru Gen(AI) buy/build decisions. Locally you will lead an first class team of Data scientist. You reporting to experienced DSAI Director. Given the seniority of this role the position can be a great accelerator for current associate directors in their career path towards a director role, associate directors welcomed to apply.

Job Description

Location: Hyderabad, India #LI-Hybrid (12 days/month in office)

Key Responsibilities:

· Strategic Planning and Roadmap Execution: Support the development and implementation of Finance&MA Gen(AI) roadmap. Apply innovative problem-solving approaches to generate measurable value through Gen(AI) solutions.

· Leadership in GenAI Projects: Lead large-scale Generative AI (GenAI) projects and applications delivery. This includes the ability to shape user requirements (URs) and translate them into effective final solutions. The candidate should have a proven record of overcoming obstacles and delivering high-quality results.

· Project Team Leadership: Exhibit strong project team leadership skills. The candidate should be able to keep the team motivated, empowered, and productive. This involves fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment, setting clear goals, and providing regular feedback and support.

· Business Partnering: Possess excellent business partnering skills. The candidate should have the ability to influence and align stakeholders at multiple organizational levels to jointly deliver AI-driven solutions. This includes building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their needs, and ensuring that the solutions provided meet their expectations.

· Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with external GenAI trends and industry advancements. The candidate should have knowledge of GenAI roadmaps of service providers like SAP and advanced productivity tools like Microsoft Copilot Studio. This involves continuously monitoring the latest developments in the field and leveraging this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the organization.

Essential Requirements:

· 9+ years of experience in Gen(AI) and NLP Data Science. In depth experience with latest GenAI application developments. Ability to code hands a python prototype. Fully on top of engineering practices of software development. Azure cloud deployment experience.

· Demonstrated success in leading large scale Gen(AI) projects / Gen(AI) applications delivery. Ability to shape URs and translate into the final solution. Proven ownership and record of overcoming obstacles.

· Project team leadership skills. Ability to keep team motivated, empower and make team productive.

· Great business partnering skills. Ability to influence and align stakeholders at multiple organizational levels to jointly deliver AI-driven solutions.

· Knowledge of external GenAI trends and industry advancements, including GenAI roadmaps of service provider like SAP and advance productivity tools like MS Copilot studio.

· Knowledge of data management, data strategy, governance frameworks, data quality, and master data management a plus.

· Given the seniority of this role the position can be a great accelerator for current associate directors in their career path towards a director role, associate directors welcomed to apply and such experience a plus.

Desirable skills:

o Technical Mastery in Gen(AI) and Data Science

o Demonstrated expertise in developing GenAI applications using cutting-edge technologies, including autonomous agents and multimodal embedding pipelines.

o Proven track record of deploying GenAI solutions into production environments, ideally leveraging Microsoft Azure services such as Document Intelligence and Azure AI Search.

o Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams composed of GenAI data scientists, Azure engineers, and frontend developers.

o Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, drive collaboration across functions.
