What will I be doing at Ather?
You will train the service team in company owned & dealer owned service centers. You will also be a SPOC for a region and have technical trainers reporting to you. Since EV is new in the industry, your task will be to make them understand the functioning of an EV, how to safely service and maintain an EV. Also, you will fine tune their soft skills in alignment with the brand and culture of Ather.
Your responsibilities include:
- Conducts Service New Hire Training, Service Practical Training, Charging Infrastructure Training & Vehicle Diagnostics Training
- Manages training adherence and attendance
- Conduct and publish report on training participation, certification & performance for each new batch of New hire training
- Manage the Service Training Center, including resource, tool, and trainer allocation; upkeep; availability of tools and inventory, etc.
- Maintain and update a knowledge management repository for all Vehicle Service and CI training modules
- You will be responsible for planning and conducting regular refresher training focused on Running Changes and CAFV
- Address queries from the local service teams in each city post training
- Create service bulletins and maintain a repository of changes on CAFV and CRs
- Travel periodically to retail partners (RP) & Company owned- company operated (COCO) service centers based on business needs
- Mentor and monitoring a team of Technical trainers reporting to you
- You will be responsible for maintaining the Activity trackers for technical trainer
- Responsible for post training efficiency on shop floor
- Co-ordination with zonal team for training planning
- Understand the skill gaps in the field and also plan training activities
- Work with relevant parties to strategically plan and implement new training partnerships and expansion initiatives.
- Manage and schedule technical trainers' travel arrangements, ensuring full compliance with company policy.
What kind of experience & skills do I need for this role?
- Experienced Service Trainer:
Minimum 2 years experience specifically in vehicle service training. - Deep Technical Background:
4–8 years of hands-on vehicle service experience with a strong grasp of automobile systems, components, and electrical basics. - CX-Focused Mentor:
Ability to understand and teach critical soft skills to the service team to significantly enhance the customer experience (CX). - Multilingual Communicator:
Excellent communication skills are mandatory in English & Hindi, plus proficiency in at least one South Indian language. - Proven Leader:
Must have prior management experience with at least two direct reportees. - Strategic Planning:
Skill in assessing team performance/efficiency and prioritizing/scheduling training needs.
