Role & responsibilities
- Examine, diagnose, and treat disorders of the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves.
- Manage acute neurological emergencies such as stroke, seizures, and meningitis.
Conduct and interpret neurological investigations such as EEG, EMG, NCS, and imaging studies. - Provide consultation services to inpatients, outpatients, and emergency cases.
- Collaborate with neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, physiotherapists, and other specialists for comprehensive care.
- Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and morbidity/mortality meetings.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records as per hospital protocols.
- Engage in academic activities, CME programs, and clinical audits to enhance professional standards.
- Adhere to hospital policies, infection control practices, and ethical medical standards.
Preferred candidate profile
- Qualification: MD / DNB (General Medicine) with DM / DNB (Neurology) from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum 05 years post-DM/DNB experience preferred (freshers may also apply).
- License: Valid registration with Medical Council of India / State Medical Council.
