The job responsibilities for a neurosurgeon include:

- Diagnosing neurological conditions such as brain tumors, spinal cord injuries, vascular malformations, and neurological trauma through patient consultations, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic imaging studies.
- Formulating treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific condition, which may involve surgical intervention, medication management, or other therapeutic modalities.
- Performing surgical procedures to treat neurological disorders, including craniotomies, laminectomies, spinal fusions, tumor resections, and microsurgical procedures.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals, including neurologists, oncologists, radiologists, and rehabilitation specialists, to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Monitoring patients' preoperative and postoperative status, managing complications, and adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
- Participating in academic and research activities to advance the field of neurosurgery, including conducting clinical trials, publishing scientific papers, and presenting at conferences.
- Providing education and support to patients and their families, explaining treatment options, risks, and benefits, and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Adhering to ethical and legal standards, maintaining patient confidentiality, obtaining informed consent, and practicing evidence-based medicine.
