Scientist - Electrochemistry

Role & responsibilities

• Corelate the material level knowledge to the electrochemistry of the device
• Define specification for materials for electrochemical systems considering the efficiency and reliability impacts
• Study new techniques and developments in electrochemical engineering and incorporate them
• Analysis and develop new materials, processes and testing methodologies for Electrolyser components.
• Execute material level tests that will expand the knowledge on components
• Lead problem solving activities on component and device level
• Collaboration with cross functional engineers
• Support relevant activities in lab and pilot scale operations.
• Support the characterization of materials using advanced techniques, analyse and troubleshoot.

Preferred candidate profile

• PhD in science/ engineering - Materials science/physics/chemistry (fresh or experienced candidates) can apply.
• Applied research experience to understand the device level electrochemistry
• Strong knowledge of principles, methods and techniques in electrochemistry and materials
• High professional and ethical standards
• Attention to detail and exceptional analytical skills
• Successfully multi-task across projects and simultaneously meet deliverables on time
• Productive and efficient team player with creativity, adaptability and minimal supervision or guidance
• Self-starter with a can-do attitude
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation and interpersonal skills.
