This is a direct contract role and will be posted from India to Trinidad & Tobago.

Role Purpose(s)

The role is being expected to be involved in Development, Enhancements, Troubleshooting, System Maintenance and Support, Software Testing of Applications. These applications may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies, and tools. The candidate is expected to participate in all phases of the SDLC, from requirements gathering, system design, development, and implementation of complex applications, often using new techniques. The candidate is expected to be able to provide technical solutions including system architecture as part of their job scope.

Key Accountabilities

• The role oversees the development and implementation of software projects, ensuring high-quality code and managing a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver robust software solutions.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

• Analyze, design, develop, test, document and maintain IT systems or applications.
• Perform and manage stages of the SDLC and participate in the systems review with Project Lead/Manager.
• Understand the interdependencies of the services (application, system, and database) and able to pinpoint problem areas accurately to improve the overall efficiency.
• Design and document system design, architecture and propose appropriate technologies and tools required to implement systems; and ensure users sign-off on these design specifications.
• Use development tools to develop applications for better productivity.
• Develop test cases, conduct SIT, Load Test and carry out performance tuning of the systems to meet the SLA.
• Create deployment instructions for production environment and provide postimplementation support.
• Provide maintenance support to customers (internal and/or external) by investigating issues and providing resolutions to the identified issues.
• Analyze requests for enhancements/changes and write amendment/program specifications.
• Update System documentation.
• Adopt QMS and CMMi best practices to ensure quality delivery of projects.
• Provide technical guidance to team members.
• Keep abreast of technological advancements, emerging technologies/standards and new software/hardware solutions that may affect decisions on the system enhancements or development.
• Any other duties as and when assigned.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science - Computer Information Systems.
• Master's degree in computer science related careers (Optional).

Working Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of IT working experience in software development with at least 2 years of leadership experience in IT with Java.
• Possess experience in implementing concepts
• Possess experience in implementing projects using Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Business Process Management (BPM) engines.
