Tekla Detailer

Responsibilities:

  1. Detailing: Produces detailed drawings and plans for various structural components, including connections, bolt locations, and fabrication details.
  2. Drawing Preparation: Creates shop drawings, erection drawings, and other detailed documents required for fabrication and construction.
  3. Accuracy and Precision: Ensures that all details are accurate and adhere to project specifications and industry standards.
  4. Coordination: Works closely with engineers and other design professionals to resolve any issues related to the detailing of structural elements.
  5. Review and Verification: Reviews drawings and models to ensure that all details are correctly represented and that there are no errors.

Duties:

  • Generate and revise detailed drawings based on the structural design model.
  • Incorporate changes and updates as needed, ensuring consistency across all documentation.
  • Provide support during the fabrication and construction phases by supplying necessary details and clarifications.
  • Ensure that all detailing adheres to safety standards and regulations.

Tekla Modeller

Responsibilities:

  1. Model Creation: Develops detailed 3D models of structural elements using Tekla Structures. This includes modeling steel and concrete structures, as well as any other components necessary for the project.
  2. Model Coordination: Coordinates with other disciplines (e.g., architectural, mechanical, electrical) to integrate different models and ensure compatibility.
  3. Clash Detection: Identifies and resolves conflicts or clashes between different systems within the 3D model.
  4. Model Accuracy: Ensures that the model accurately reflects the structural design and specifications provided by engineers.
  5. Updates and Revisions: Updates the model as needed to reflect any design changes or corrections.

Duties:

  • Create and maintain 3D models of structural components, including beams, columns, plates, and connections.
  • Incorporate design changes and updates into the model.
  • Produce various types of reports and documentation directly from the model, such as material take-offs and quantities.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the model supports the overall project goals and requirements.
