Summary- The Vice President for Water Projects - Design & Engineering Services at a prominent infrastructure company is expected to be an accomplished leader with a demonstrated history of effectively managing Engineering Services within the Water division across various geographical regions. This position presents significant challenges and opportunities pertaining to the management of engineering projects related to Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), and Irrigation, in addition to comprehensive planning and design. The successful candidate will be required to leverage their technical expertise, management acumen, and leadership capabilities to ensure the attainment of the project's profitability as agreed upon.

Responsibilities-

1. Design and Engineering:---

Process Design:

Develops the overall design for water treatment plants, including WTP/ WWTP / STPs (Sewage Treatment Plants) and RO (Reverse Osmosis) plants, etc. This involves determining the necessary treatment stages, equipment, and processes to achieve the desired water quality. Detailed Engineering: Oversees the detailed design of various components, ensuring adherence to project specifications and relevant technical standards. Equipment Selection: Selects and specifies pumps, valves, piping, and other equipment for the water treatment plant. Sludge Handling and Treatment: Design systems for handling and treating sludge, including thickening, dewatering, and disposal. Project Planning and Scheduling: Develops project plans and schedules, including timelines and resource allocation. Tenders and Proposals: Oversees the preparation and submission of tenders, proposals, and contracts for different water projects.

2. Cost and Project Management:---

Cost and BOQ Generation:

Generates accurate cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for different project phases. Project Management:

Manages projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with client requirements. Project Budgeting and Financial Management:

Manages project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within budget constraints. Risk Management:

Identifies and manages potential risks associated with the project. Procurement:

Manages the procurement process for equipment and materials. Stakeholder Management:

Communicates effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

3. Technical Oversight:---

Technical Guidance: Provides technical guidance and support to engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle. Quality Control: Ensures that all aspects of the project adhere to quality standards and safety regulations. Problem Solving: Addresses technical issues and implements corrective actions as needed. Site Visits: Conducts site visits to monitor project progress and ensure adherence to design specifications. Collaboration: Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.

4. Other Responsibilities:---

Contract Management:

Manages contracts with suppliers and contractors. Reporting:

Prepares regular reports on project progress and financial performance. Compliance:

Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
