Job Title: Intake Analyst

Experience Range: 4–6 years

Must Have Skills

4–6 years of experience in Release, Service Request, or Environment Coordination roles.

Ability to create Jira dashboards and track different metrics.

Familiarity with non-production environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Performance) and the SDLC lifecycle.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with experience supporting delivery teams.

Ability to assess usage patterns and indicative cost implications of requests.

Good to Have Skills

Telecommunication domain experience.

Understanding of end-to-end flow or architecture.

Testing background/experience to help in understanding E2E flows.

Key Responsibilities

Request Intake & Validation

Act as the single-entry point for all requests from project/product delivery teams.

Validate requests for completeness (scope, approvals, dependencies, timing).

Provide effort/usage/cost estimates to stakeholders before committing resources.

Categorize and route requests to the right owner (Environment Manager, Change Manager, Incident Manager).

Coordination & Communication

Maintain dashboards/reports on request pipeline, SLA status, and upcoming allocations.

Proactively communicate request progress, blockers, and approvals to requestors.

Work with Environment Manager for demand forecasting and scheduling feasibility.

Align with Incident Manager on access/service requests.

Mandatory skills

ITIL Certified / ITSM Certified / ITIL Process Management

ITSM Tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy)

Ticketing Tools / Incident Management

Release Coordination

Service Request Management/ Environment Management

Need experience in DevOps or SRE also

Non-Production Environment Support

SDLC Lifecycle Knowledge

Strong Communication Skills

Profiles to Avoid (Exclude) while sourcing:

Overly Technical: DevOps Engineers, SREs, Cloud Architects, Platform Engineers

Developers: Software Engineers, Full Stack Developers, Backend Engineers

Unrelated IT: Data Engineers, Security Analysts (unless env governance-related), pure Network Engineers
