Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Engagement & Requirement Gathering:

• Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout their cloud adoption journey and app modernization initiatives.

• Work with clients to identify and document business and technical requirements for their migration and modernization efforts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Understand and communicate client needs related to app modernization, cloud migration, and database transformation.

• App & Database Modernization Support:

• Lead and support customers through app and database modernization initiatives, leveraging our migration tools and methodologies to identify migration blockers and facilitate seamless transitions.

• Collaborate with the technical team to ensure customer applications and databases are optimized for the cloud, enabling performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

• Provide guidance on best practices for modernizing legacy applications and databases in Azure.

• Cloud Adoption Journey:

• Support customers in their cloud adoption journey, from initial assessment through to deployment and optimization of cloud services, particularly within Microsoft Azure.

• Advise customers on cloud architecture, best practices, and cloud-native technologies to ensure successful cloud adoption.

• Work with the development and technical teams to ensure cloud solutions align with customer business goals, and oversee their successful implementation.

• Project Planning & Coordination:

• Define project scope, deliverables, and timelines for app modernization and cloud adoption projects.

• Develop detailed project plans and schedules, ensuring resource allocation and risk management strategies are in place.

• Lead cross-functional teams in executing projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.

• Documentation & Communication:

• Create detailed project documentation, including technical and business requirements, project timelines, status updates, and quality reports.

• Develop and present clear and impactful PowerPoint decks for both internal and customer-facing meetings, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout the project.

• Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.

• Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Oversee the testing of PoCs/MVPs to ensure solutions meet customer requirements and business outcomes.

• Facilitate the validation of app modernization and cloud migration results to ensure optimal performance and efficiency in the cloud environment.

• Azure & AI Knowledge:

• Use your knowledge of Azure Fundamentals and AI Fundamentals to help guide cloud adoption strategies, solutioning, and customer consultations.

• Support the technical team in leveraging Azure and AI technologies to modernize applications and databases, ensuring seamless migration and transformation.

• Stakeholder Management & Communication:

• Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining open lines of communication and ensuring expectations are aligned throughout the project lifecycle.

• Lead customer meetings to review project progress, gather feedback, and resolve issues in a timely manner.

• Experience:

• 6-8 years of project management experience, preferably in app and database modernization, cloud adoption, or technology solutions.

• Proven experience managing complex migration, modernization, or cloud adoption projects in the APAC & ANZ regions.

• Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of Azure Fundamentals and AI Fundamentals.

• Experience in app and database modernization, with a knowledge of cloud migration strategies, tools, and best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in guiding customers through their cloud adoption journey, particularly within Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with migration blockers, legacy app transformation, and modernization of databases for cloud-native environments.
• Experience with GenAI PoCs/MVPs and understanding their integration with cloud-based systems.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or similar).

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies is a plus.

• Communication Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable customer communications.

• Ability to create high-quality presentations, reports, and project documentation for various stakeholders.

• Soft Skills:

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address challenges and obstacles in the project lifecycle.

• Customer-focused mindset, ensuring customer satisfaction and successful delivery of solutions.

• Certification in Project Management is desirable.

• Experience with Microsoft technologies and cloud platforms, especially in the context of app/database modernization or GenAI.
• Experience working in customer-facing roles across the APAC & ANZ regions.
