U.S. India Tax — TTO:

Deloitte Tax LLP's Tax Transformation (TTO) team is responsible for the design, development and deployment of tax tools for the US Tax Practice. The professionals on the TTO team are focused on assisting Deloitte Tax in its efforts to deliver quality, comprehensive, value-added, and efficient client services using tax tools to our clients. The team consults and executes on a wide range of initiatives involving tax technology management, tool development and implementation.

Business line:TAX Transformation Office - SDE

Specific skill set required:SQL Server, APIs, and Tableau

Graduation:BE/B.Tech., M.C.A., M.Sc. Comp Sc.

Work experience: 3 + years

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements analysis
• Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases (schemas, tables, views, stored procedures).
• Optimize queries and database structures for performance and scalability.
• Oversee data integrity, security, and compliance.
• Build and document APIs to expose or consume data from SQL Server and other systems.
• Integrate external data sources through API connections.
• Ensure secure and efficient data flows between platforms.
• Connect Tableau to SQL Server and various data sources via APIs.
• Design, build, and maintain intuitive Tableau dashboards and reports for business users.
• Perform data blending, transformation, and advanced visualization techniques in Tableau.
• Work with business users to gather requirements and translate them into actionable analytics solutions.?
• Develop and automate ETL pipelines using SQL Server tools (e.g., SSIS) or scripting to prepare data for analytics.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data flow issues.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and application developers.
• Provide technical support for databases, API, and Tableau environments.
• Create and maintain documentation for solutions delivered.

Key skills required:

• Advanced T-SQL and experience with Microsoft SQL Server preferred)
• Strong API development, testing, and documentation experience
• Significant expertise in Tableau: designing dashboards, data source management, calculated fields, and interactivity
• Familiarity with data security, authentication, and compliance best practices
• Troubleshooting abilities
• Good communication skills

Additional Information/Nice to Have:

• Self-starter with solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Python or R for data preparation or automation
• Experience with other BI tools (Power BI)
• Willingness to work extra hours to meet deliverables
• Coordinate with other software professionals and developers
