Client: A Leading D2C baby product brand was founded in 2014 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Company is having annual turnover of around 200 Crs & employee strength of 200 employees & they are providing international safety standard certified bay products by their e-commerce website & online market platforms like Amazon, Flipkart & other leading online & offline platforms. 

Job Title   Junior Buyer Factory Procurement

Working days and timings AM to 6.30 PM (2nd & 4th Saturday off)

Location  Ahmedabad

Experience: 2-3 years into domestic buying

Qualification - Any graduate

Key Responsibilities:

Factory Material Procurement 

  • Source and procure plastic molded components, assembly parts, and packaging materials 
  • Manage procurement of machine spares, tools, and consumables (e.g., lubricants, tapes, fasteners, cleaning agents) 
  • Ensure timely availability of all materials required for smooth production and assembly operations

Inventory & Stock Coordination 

  • Monitor stock levels and generate purchase requisitions based on consumption and reorder points 
  • Coordinate with store and production teams to track material movement and prevent shortages 
  • Maintain minimum stock levels for critical items and update inventory records regularly

Vendor Management & Cost Control

  • Identify and onboard reliable vendors for factory supplies 
  • Obtain quotations and negotiate best prices, payment terms, and delivery timelines
  • Track price trends and maintain updated cost sheets for all categories

Documentation & Compliance

  • Create and manage purchase orders, GRNs, and invoice records
  • Ensure compliance with GST, quality standards, and internal audit protocols 
  • Maintain documentation for ISO audits and supplier evaluations 

Support New Product Development

  •  Assist in sourcing new components or materials for product launches  
  • Coordinate sample procurement and trial orders for new SKUs 
  • Work with R&D and production teams to ensure material compatibility

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of plastic Moulding, assembly line operations, and factory needs 
  • Familiarity with spares, consumables, and production tools 
  • Proficiency in Excel, Tally, or ERP systems 
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
