A
Credit Assessment Officer
at Delta Chase evaluates and monitors the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses. Your goal is to ensure responsible lending by analyzing financial data, credit histories, and risk indicators, ultimately supporting sound credit decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Assess Credit Applications

  • Review credit applications and supporting documentation (financial statements, credit histories like CIBIL reports, tax returns, collateral details, etc.) to determine borrower suitability.

Analyze Financial Data & Risk

  • Calculate and interpret financial ratios, assess cash flows, and compare metrics to industry benchmarks. Identify risk factors and recommend credit limits or loan terms aligned with Delta Chase's policies.

Prepare Credit Reports

  • Produce comprehensive credit memos summarizing analysis, risk ratings, and recommendations for approval, rejection, or modification of credit requests.

Credit Limit Reviews

  • Periodically reassess existing accounts to determine eligibility for credit limit increases or restructuring, based on updated financial health and repayment behavior.

Collaborate with Lending Teams

  • Work closely with loan officers, relationship managers, and compliance teams to discuss findings, clarify requirements, and ensure decisions meet regulatory standards.

Monitor Portfolio Health

  • Continuously track credit performance, detect early warning signs (defaults, downgrades), and recommend proactive measures to manage risk exposure.

Required Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Finance
    ,
    Commerce
    ,
    Business Administration
    ,
    Accounting
    ,
    Economics
    , or a related field.

Experience

  • Ideally, 1–3 years of experience in credit assessment, lending, banking, or financial analysis.
  • Senior roles may require more extensive experience and may involve supervising credit decision-making.

Analytical & Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with
    financial modeling
    , ratio analysis, Excel, and credit assessment tools (e.g., credit bureau platforms). Strong quantitative acumen and attention to detail are essential.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
  • CBA (Credit Business Associate)
    or CRC (Credit Risk Certification)
  • Other recognized credentials in credit/risk analysis.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, problem-solving orientation, and strong organizational habits.
