Transport Lead oversees and manage transportation-related operations  

Main responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and execute transportation strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Optimize routes, manage vehicle fleets, and ensure timely deliveries.
• Team Management:
  • Lead and supervise transportation teams, including drivers, dispatchers, and logistics staff. o Set performance targets, provide training, and foster teamwork.
• Budgeting and Cost Control:
  • Create and manage transportation budgets.
  • Monitor expenses, fuel costs, and maintenance expenditures.
• Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations  o Implement safety protocols and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Client Relations:
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their transportation needs.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address any issues promptly.
• Route Optimization and Efficiency:
  • Analyze transportation data to improve efficiency. o Optimize delivery routes and reduce transit times.
• Vendor Management:
  • Work with transportation vendors, negotiate contracts, and evaluate performance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with carriers and suppliers.
• Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management.
  • Proficiency in transportation systems, logistics, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
