Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Designer to independently carry out 3D modelling, design, and drafting of assigned E&I work for projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring error-free outputs, compliance with technical specifications, and coordination with cross-disciplinary teams to meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed E&I designs and associated documentation for projects, rentals, and upgrades.
  • Prepare and maintain drawings including:
  • Cable layouts (2D/3D), cable tray sizing, sectional views, bill of materials.
  • Electrical room layouts, lighting layouts, earthing and lightning layouts.
  • Single line diagrams, wiring schematics, and cable schedules.
  • Instrument loop drawings, interconnection schedules, hook-up drawings, and control system architecture diagrams.
  • Create and maintain records of bills of quantities, as-built drawings, and drawing registers.
  • Participate in design reviews, ISO audits, and model reviews, ensuring outcomes are implemented within budget and timeline.
  • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to resolve interface issues.
  • Provide technical review, feedback, and support to improve E&I design/drafting standards.

Key Requirements

  • Qualification: Certified Drafting Course (AutoCAD or Plant Modelling software certification preferred).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in detailed Electrical design within water/wastewater project engineering.
  • Strong understanding of IS/IEC standards and various electrical codes.
  • Hands-on expertise in AutoCAD and plant modelling software.
  • Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical review skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and collaborate effectively with clients and contractors.
  • Customer orientation with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Other: Willingness to travel occasionally for project needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,500, ₹2,000,000.00 per year
