About the Role

We are seeking an experienced
Senior QBO Accountant
to join a fast-growing US-based accounting firm's India operations. The role involves working closely with the US team to manage client books, ensure timely financial reporting, and uphold the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.

This is a full-time, office-based position in Kolkata that offers an opportunity to work on international accounting processes and grow within a high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for multiple clients.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end closings.
  • Handle AP/AR, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
  • Collaborate with US-based teams to manage accounting deliverables and reporting.
  • Support year-end audits and tax filings by maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 4–8 years of experience in accounting, preferably for US or international clients.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and general accounting software.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred (Good to Have)

  • Experience with
    QuickBooks Online or Desktop
    is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with
    US accounting standards
    and reporting practices.
  • Prior experience in outsourced accounting or working with US clients.
