Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. This role involves creating and reviewing technical drawings, performing system calculations, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, and collaborating with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design HVAC systems using software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Carrier HAP/TRACE.
  • Perform load calculations (heating, cooling, ventilation) to determine equipment sizing.
  • Develop HVAC layouts, ductwork sizing, piping layouts and equipment selection using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Select and specify HVAC equipment and components based on performance and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP professionals to integrate HVAC systems into overall building designs.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, ASHRAE standards, and local regulations.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing systems and evaluate design feasibility.
  • Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and change orders related to HVAC systems.
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate with clients, contractors, and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with LEED , IGBC certification or sustainable design practices.
  • Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows.
  • Experience in design-build environments like residential , commercial , hotels, industries, educational, hospital buildings.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based with occasional site visits.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • May require travel to project locations or client meetings.
