UX Architect – Digital Asset Trading Exchange

Location: Mumbai

Who We're Looking For

We're building a next-generation Crypto Exchange and are hiring a talented UX Architect to lead the design of high-impact experiences for professional and advanced retail traders. You'll drive the UX architecture for sophisticated derivatives and options trading, designing dense, real-time workflows and strategy builders with a sharp focus on clarity, compliance, and usability.

What You'll Do

  • Architect end-to-end trading flows for options, futures, and perpetuals—covering discovery, pricing, order entry, monitoring, exercise/assignment, and settlement.
  • Design information architecture for options chains, including greeks, IV, skew, open interest, filters, sorting, and responsive updates for real-time analytics.
  • Build intuitive strategy builders for multi-leg trades (spreads, straddles, butterflies, condors) featuring payoff diagrams, breakeven, and risk/reward analysis.
  • Model advanced order types (IOC, FOK, OCO, iceberg, etc.), leverage controls, edge/error states, and robust confirmations to ensure trader safety.
  • Create dynamic margin and risk views—portfolio/SPAN style calculators, stress tests, "what-if" simulators, and granular P&L dashboards.
  • Develop market data UIs (depth ladder, time & sales, volatility surfaces) optimized for high information density and low cognitive overload.
  • Architect fund operations: deposits, withdrawals, collateral movements, fee tiers, funding rates, tax reports, and audit-friendly statements.
  • Surface KYC, compliance, risk disclosures, trade restrictions, and audit trails—ensuring accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA) and seamless localization.
  • Own the Exchange Design System: manage UI tokens/components across dark/light themes, advanced tables, interactive charts, and multi-brand adaptability.
  • Prototype critical flows and define UX telemetry—establish UX metrics, event schemas, and plans for rapid experimentation.

Your Experience

  • 5+ years in UX/interaction design, with 1+ years working on derivatives/options or similarly data-dense trading platforms.
  • Portfolio of shipped experiences—options or derivatives journeys (chains, multi-leg tickets, risk, settlements) and systems-level IA.
  • Deep understanding of trading concepts: greeks, IV, skew/smile, spreads, expiries, and margin (cross/isolated, portfolio).
  • Mastery of Figma (libraries, variants, tokens), real-time design prototyping, and collaborative whiteboarding (FigJam/Miro).
  • Comfortable with complex front-end requirements—virtualized tables, websockets, low-latency modes, and precise developer handoff.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex quantitative ideas for traders, tech, and compliance teams.

  • Experience with pricing models (Black-Scholes, binomial), risk stress testing, and payoff diagram visualization.
  • Insight into derivatives operations—corporate actions, exercise/assignment windows, auctions, settlement calendars.
  • Familiarity with trading regulations in India (SEBI/RBI/FIU-IND) and global contexts (MiFID II/EMIR/CFTC), payments UX, and security standards.
  • Trading integrations (FIX/OUCH/ITCH, TradingView charting) and robust status/incident communication UIs.
  • Emerging market UX: bandwidth/device constraints, multilingual/RTL interface design.
