Job Title: Sr Payroll Specialist, EMEAL

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with upstream stakeholders (HR Operations, GSC team) and outsourced payroll partners (ADP, EY, and local vendors) for monthly payroll processing across multiple EMEA countries.

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll cycle, typically structured into four weekly phases:

  • Week 1: Pre-payroll activitiesrollover of prior month files, clearing checklists, handling employee queries, and ad hoc requests.

  • Weeks 2&3: Peak processingcompile Flexi files, validate data, send to vendors, review returned reports, and prepare compliance packs for manager approval.

  • Week 4: Execute payments (net salary, statutory), complete month-end tasks, and share journals with downstream accounting teams.

  • Ensure SOX compliance and accuracy through rigorous checks and documentation.

  • Liaise with payroll providers for statutory filings and tax compliance.
  • Address employee cases within SLA timelines and maintain exceptional service standards.
  • Collaborate on global payroll initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed.
  • Drive process improvements by leveraging metrics and suggesting efficiency enhancements.

  • Provide basic accounting checks (e.g., journal balancing, GL validations) before handoff to finance.

  • Additional Expectations

  • Strong experience in end-to-end payroll processing (minimum 7 years), preferably across multiple EMEA countries.

  • Familiarity with HCM and CRM tools (Workday, ServiceNow preferred; SAP, PeopleSoft acceptable).
  • Exposure to Workday connectors (e.g., PECI PICOF) and SOX-compliant environments is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage complex payrolls independently and work at pace during peak cycles.
  • Openness to continuous improvement and adaptability to evolving processes.
