Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee the Verification and Validation process, verifying adherence of design activities to safety regulations and customer requirements.
• Coordinate design readiness activities, analyzing performance against defined milestones and reporting on progress, flagging potential issues and proposing corrective action where needed;
• Establish and maintain a systematic, documented, comprehensive, and verifiable approval and authority engineering management process to be applied throughout the project;
• Identify design issues and ensure that all works are performed according to the contractual and technical requirements (taking into consideration international standards);
• Ensure design conformance to customer's and affected parties' requirements, to secure rail authorities' approval and to successfully apply for building permits;
• Support the Requirements Manager in maintaining alignment between requirements, design, and configuration items. Supervise the requirement management process to ensure Customer Requirements will be floating down to Component Requirements;
• Assist with interface management ensuring that all the interfaces are properly considered by the different stakeholders;
• Detailed knowledge of EN50126, EN50128, EN50129 and IEC61508 and IEC 62839;
• Creation and ensuring compliance of the Configuration Management Plan;
• Checking compliance of the Software Configuration Management Plan and of the company adjusted Configuration Management process and standards;
• Assuring effective communication with all levels and disciplines; Coordinate with System Engineering, System Integration, RAMS, and V&V teams to ensure CM compliance across subsystems.
• Accountable for Document and Data Control;
• Contribute to and assist in Change review meeting together with the client´s Engineer;
• Manage Safety Assessments & technical audits (functional/physical configuration audits) throughout the lifecycle of the Project;
• Reporting changes to design and baseline as part of the Change Management Process;
• Managing documentation requirements from the Customer;
• Ensuring all team members understand and apply the rules defined in the Documentation Management Plans (DMP);
• Contribute to Change Review Meetings together with the Client;
• Ensure project handover includes a complete, accurate, and validated configuration record for operations & maintenance.
• Maintaining minimal process times between Engineering Change Requests receipt and the Engineering Change Notification.

Qualifications:

• • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field,
• Minimum years of relevant experience in the transit & rail industry. More experience is desirable,
• International working experience in multicultural teams advantageous.
• Experience or understanding of project management principles and practices,
• Familiarity with documentation management systems and best practices,
• Knowledge of change & configuration processes in a project environment,
• Proven track record of adaptability in dynamic project settings,
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable,
• Able to interface with domain specialists, design managers in a competent professional manner,
• Good understanding of European railway standards,
  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

Software skills:

• MS office suits (including MS Project) & Relevant IT Skills,
• Proficient software skills in DOORs, or similar tools,
• Familiar with various database tools such as Maximo, etc.
