Cost and Finacial Analyst

The Cost Analyst will be responsible for providing analytical support to business initiatives, with a strong focus on product costing, variance analysis, and cost efficiency improvements. The role involves collaboration across finance, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, and sales to deliver accurate cost insights that support decision-making and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver analytic support to business initiatives within the finance function.
Train and oversee Cost Specialists in establishing standard product costs in line with company policies and procedures.
Conduct new product cost development and analysis.
Perform OE product cost development and analysis.
Carry out product costing analysis for existing and new products.
Manage and maintain product master data analysis.
Conduct sales and marketing cost analysis to assess profitability and pricing.
Develop and execute test cases/scenarios to validate functionality (including system interfaces) and perform system testing to confirm results.
Analyze, explain, and report on cost movements in manufacturing, logistics, sales, and supply chain, including month-to-date and year-to-date comparisons with budgets and prior years.
Provide input and insights for the financial forecasting process.
Support continuous improvement by enhancing reporting processes and the use of financial systems.
Analyze product cost standards and variances on a monthly basis and support the annual cost standard setting process.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Cost Accounting certification preferred).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
Proficiency in cost accounting principles and variance analysis.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams (manufacturing, supply chain, sales, marketing).
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work under tight timelines.
