Role & Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, play-based and inquiry-led lessons aligned to the Early Years curriculum (EYP/Preschool), ensuring differentiated learning for 2.5–6 year olds.
  • Lead the homeroom: establish routines, manage transitions, maintain a safe, stimulating classroom environment, and model positive behaviour guidance.
  • Assess and document children's learning through observations, learning stories, portfolios and formative assessments; use evidence to inform planning.
  • Foster strong parent partnerships: provide regular feedback, conduct parent-teacher conferences, and involve families in learning goals.
  • Collaborate with co-teachers, therapists and school leadership to support individual learning plans and inclusive classroom practices.
  • Maintain child safety, hygiene and safeguarding standards; manage records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Diploma/degree in Early Childhood Education, B.Ed (Early Childhood) or equivalent qualification with 1–15+ years of preschool/homeroom teaching experience.
  • Demonstrable understanding of early childhood development and play-based / inquiry-led pedagogy with strong lesson planning skills.
  • Proven classroom management, observation and formative assessment skills; ability to maintain engaging learning environments.
  • Excellent spoken and written English; strong parent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Available to work on-site in Sadashivnagar, Bangalore and comfortable with full-day preschool schedules.

Preferred

  • Experience with IB Early Years Programme (EYP) or other international preschool curricula; exposure to Montessori or Reggio Emilia approaches is a plus.
