We're seeking an Accountant II who will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our commissions, revenue, and broader accounting processes. In a dynamic, high-growth environment with multiple commission plans, evolving billing operations, and complex revenue streams, this role helps bridge Sales Operations, Finance, and Accounting to deliver precision and confidence in financial reporting.This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong accounting fundamentals who thrives in fast-paced settings and takes pride in translating operational activity into accurate financial outcomes. You'll oversee key accounting processes related to commissions, revenue recognition, payroll, and billing — helping ensure our books are complete, compliant, and ready for scale.The impact you will have:
- Accurate commissions accounting: Own the accounting for commissions, including preparation of monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals to ensure compliance with ASC and internal controls.
- Reliable revenue recognition: Partner with Revenue Operations to validate opportunity and billing data, ensuring revenue is recognized accurately and consistently across systems and reporting periods.
- Month-end close ownership: Support the full accounting close cycle — posting entries, reconciling commission and revenue accounts, preparing schedules, and assisting in variance analysis.
- Payroll and billing support: Assist in payroll processing and billing operations by ensuring accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and aligning data across systems — contributing to smoother operations and stronger financial controls.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Finance, and Operations to ensure commissions are calculated, recorded, and paid accurately while maintaining alignment with revenue forecasts and budgets.
- Process improvement & automation: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows through automation, improved documentation, and system enhancements.
- Audit & compliance readiness: Maintain detailed documentation and reconciliations to support external audits, internal reviews, and compliance with accounting standards.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a SaaS, fintech, or high-growth company.
- Strong accounting foundation — solid understanding of GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and commission capitalization (ASC
- Experience with commissions and revenue operations, including journal entry preparation, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Technical proficiency with accounting systems (NetSuite or equivalent ERP), CRM and commissions tools (Salesforce, Spiff preferred), and billing/AR platforms.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Analytical and proactive mindset, capable of identifying anomalies, investigating root causes, and driving resolution.
- Collaborative communicator who partners effectively across Accounting, Finance, and Sales Ops to align operational activity with financial accuracy.
This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Accounting, and Revenue Operations, ensuring our commissions, payroll, and billing processes are both operationally efficient and financially accurate. You'll be instrumental in strengthening month-end close cadence, improving revenue integrity, and building scalable accounting processes that support the company's growth.
